Work with your doctor to reach your optimal dose from the TYVASO nebulizer

Your doctor will work with you to increase the number of breaths per session each week until you reach your optimal dose. It took patients in the clinical study an average of 3 weeks to reach their optimal dose.

Plan to take your medication 4x daily, approximately every 4 waking hours.

  • One ampule of TYVASO contains enough medicine for all 4 treatment sessions in a day

  • Each treatment session takes about 2 to 3 minutes

  • Most patients start with 3 breaths per treatment, 4x daily, and increase the number of breaths per session each week until they reach their optimal dose

There’s no set maximum dose of TYVASO. Your doctor will adjust your dose to find the amount that works best for you.

Why is it important to reach your optimal dose? Your optimal dose will help you get the full benefit of your medicine. Through the titration process, you’ll take your prescribed dose 4x daily as directed by your doctor.

Reaching your optimal dose to maximize benefits

It is important to reach your optimal dose so that you can get the full benefit of the medicine and be more active.

At week 16 in the clinical study, patients achieving 10-12 breaths with the TYVASO nebulizer had a 67% greater improvement in their 6-minute walk test (6MWT) distance than those only achieving 7-9 breaths.

*59 feet is about 18 meters. 98 feet is about 30 meters.

What to expect when titrating

  • As you increase your dose each week, you may experience side effects
  • Talk to your nurse or doctor to help you manage side effects so that you can reach your optimal dose and experience the full benefits of TYVASO
  • DO NOT STOP taking TYVASO without talking to your healthcare provider
